Principles and methods for safe and responsible skills in backpacking. Day backpacking at a local county park, an overnite backpacking trip, and an extended weekend experience in one of the National Parks or wilderness areas (formerly KNES 186). Students are limited to a combined total of four enrollments in KNES 68, 69, and 86.
