KNES 106 - Exercise Testing and Prescription

Part of the Fitness Professional Certificate Program. Reviews tests for determining muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body composition and aerobic endurance. Studies the application of exercise guidelines based upon the standards of the American Heart Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.

descriptionCourse requires working in the Athletic Training Room a minimum of 4.5 hours per week, split into at least two days. Scheduled hours must be completed between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Students must also attend a weekly 30 minute teaching lab on Monday, 5:30-6:00 p.m. which counts toward the 4.5 hours per week. Enrollment with Instructor permission only.
